Maidenwood is 1 1/4 hours from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport and roughly an hour from both Rochester, Minnesota, and Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
It is less than four miles from the Great River Road via Stockholm or Maiden Rock. Directions are available on Maidenwood brochures found in Stockholm shops.

From Stockholm:
From Highway 35 (Great River Road), turn onto County Road J (Spring Street). Proceed for a half mile and turn left onto County Road E. Proceed approximately two miles, past Maiden Rock Apples and across the Pine Creek Bridge. At the junction with County Road AA (pavement), turn RIGHT onto 272nd Street (gravel road that curves and becomes 70th Street) and drive two miles to the junction of 70th Street and 250th Street. Go RIGHT on 250th one quarter mile, take 244th Street one mile past the vineyard to the driveway on the right with two stone pillars marked Maidenwood, N447 244th Street, Maiden Rock, "A private nature preserve in memory of Jennie."
From Maiden Rock:
Take Highway 35 one mile south of Maiden Rock to County Road AA and proceed .8 mile. Turn left onto 272nd Street (gravel road that becomes 70th Street) and follow the directions above.
From Ellsworth:
Take Highway 10 to County Road CC (at the Ono Methodist Church) and turn south toward the church. Proceed 8 miles to the junction with County Road H (at the corner with huge Norwegian spruce trees) and go left 1/2 mile. Turn right onto 240th Street and go about one mile to 70th Street. Go right for 1/2 mile, turn left and take 250th Street for 1/4 mile to 244th Street. Go one mile past the vineyard to the Maidenwood driveway on the right, flanked by two stone pillars.
